With almost 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Kristjan Hayden has been part of Aveda Canada since 2002 working closely with Ray Civello. Kristjan has made large contributions to the media as an editorial hairstylist and makeup artist. His style tips and techniques are often used as content for beauty stories in magazines, newspapers and online features. His creative and editorial work has been featured in Vogue, Flare, Fashion, TheStyle Advisor, The Kit, Canadian Living, and Glow.
He is the founding beauty editor of the online magazine, PerfectoMag and has worked many seasons backstage at New York Fashion Week. Kristjan’s talents are showcased on top television networks with appearances on eTalk, Entertainment Tonight, MTV and MuchMusic. He is continuously featured on W Network’s makeover series: Rags to Red Carpet and on CBC’s Steven and Chris where he has been an on-camera hair and makeup expert for fashion segments, beauty segments and makeovers for the past five seasons. Kristjan is currently Creative Director for Aveda Canada and leads the creative team in producing shows, shoots and education. Kristjan has presented on stage at Aveda Congress, Master Jams across Canada, the United States and Europe. Kristjan lives in Toronto and works at the exclusive Studio at Civello Salon Spa.
